DECISION // PENDING

Decision Day

One day. One stuck decision. Made by 5pm.

You’ve been chewing on something for weeks, maybe months. You’ve got the data, you’ve heard every opinion, and the decision still won’t sit still. I’d guess it’s not that you lack information. It’s that every hour spent not deciding is costing you momentum, money and your team’s patience.

Decision Day gets you to a clear call, and a plan to act on it, in a single working day. No more second-guessing.

Decision Day · Austin or Zoom

MODE://WHO-ITS-FOR

translation: is this you?

For the call you can’t seem to make—or don’t want to

Decision Day is for founders and executives with one specific decision on the table, like:

  • Whether to rebrand now or after the raise
  • Which market to go after, and which to walk away from
  • Whether to make a key hire or restructure the team you’ve got
  • Keeping the agency, the product line or the partnership
  • A pivot everyone talks about but no one owns

It’s not for open-ended strategy work, or for teams who want someone to make the call for them. You’ll leave having made it yourself, with a lot more confidence. I’ll play bad cop so you don’t have to.

MODE://HOW-THE-DAY-RUNS

translation: the schedule

How the day runs

In person in Austin or over Zoom, with you and up to two people you trust in the room.

THE WEEK BEFORE

Intake call

Thirty minutes. We name the decision in one sentence, and I find out what’s really making it hard.

TWO DAYS BEFORE

Pre-read

You send whatever you’ve got: numbers, past decks, the email thread everyone’s tired of. I read it all, so the day doesn’t start from zero.

MORNING

Get to the real question

We separate the decision from the noise around it and agree on what a good outcome looks like.

MIDDAY

Lay out the options

Usually there are three real ones, plus the one nobody’s said out loud. We put each through its costs, risks and what it’d take to make it work.

AFTERNOON

Decide

You make the call. Then we pressure-test it as hard as we can before 5pm, not six months from now.

30 DAYS LATER

Check in

Forty-five minutes to look at what moved and what didn’t, and adjust.

OUTPUT://WHAT-YOU-LEAVE-WITH

translation: what you walk out with

What you leave with

01

The decision, made

Written in one sentence you could say to your board or your team tomorrow.

02

A one-page decision memo

What you chose, why, what you ruled out, and the risks you’re accepting. In your inbox by 5pm.

03

Your first three moves

Each with an owner and a date, so Monday looks different from last Monday.

04

The tripwire

The one signal that would tell you to revisit the call, so you don’t relitigate it every week.

COST://PRICE

translation: what it costs

$5,000, flat

That covers the intake call, the pre-read, the full day, the decision memo and the 30-day check-in. If I come to you outside Austin, travel is extra.

Founding rate: $2,500 for the first three Decision Days, in exchange for a short testimonial if the day earns one.

WHO://ME

translation: why me

Driven by curiosity. Trusted for judgment. Hired for courage.

I volunteer for the problems that don’t have playbooks, and I translate between the nerds and the normals the whole way.

I’ve spent my career on the pivotal, hard moves: taking a million-member community AI-led, building a real product business inside an outsourcing company, and teaching a services company to sell software. Right now I’m leading growth for an AI company as it moves upmarket.

People have always come to me when they’re stuck. Decision Day is that conversation, built into a single day.

PING://START-HERE

translation: say the thing

What’s the decision you’ve been chewing on?

Book 20 minutes and tell me in a sentence. I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s time for a Decision Day.
